Verksvið:

• Hönnun, framleiðsla og bestun smárra mekanískra íhluta

• Útfærsla og smíði aðstöðu til prófana

• Samsetning mekanískra íhluta og rafbúnaðar

• Prófanir, greining gagna og skýrslugerð

Verksvið gæti breyst með þátttöku í verkefninu, kunnáttu starfsmanns og áhugasviði.

Þekking og færni á eftirtöldum sviðum er kostur:

• Meknískri hönnun og eiginleikum málma og plasts

• Notkun hönnunartóla, sér í lagi Autodesk Inventor®

• Hönnun 3D prentaðra hluta

• Málmsmíði íhluta með hefðbundnum vélum

• Loftaflsfræði / straumfræði

Starfsstöð okkar og prófunaraðstaða er á Akureyri og Grenivík. Um hlutastarf er að ræða eða verktöku í tímavinnu. Umsækjandi þarf að vera búsettur á Akureyri eða nágrenni.

To reinforce our small development team we are looking for a mechanical engineer (m/f), or comparable professional or academic education, who is creative, inventive, versatile, and interested to expand his professional horizon.

Your primary tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Lead or support the design, manufacturing, and iterative optimisation of small-scale mechanical components

• Lead or support the design and construction of test facilities

• Support the integration of mechanical and electronic components

• Support the testing, test data analysis, test documentation

The initial area of responsibilities can be expanded depending on skills and interests of the successful candidate.

Desired skills and competences:

• Skilled in mechanical design, materials selection and dimensioning

• Experience with CAD tools, preferably Autodesk Inventor®

• Experience in additive manufacturing

• Experience in conventional processing/machining is a plus

• Experience in aeronautical applications is a plus

Our development office is located in Akureyri, testing facilities are based in Akureyri and Grenivík. Therefore, the applicant should be located in the Akureyri area. This is a part-time employment or on an hourly basis.
