Technical Writer
Are you passionate about writing and translating complex ideas into understandable language? Do you want to use your writing skills to both attract new customers and serve existing ones?
If so, Pollard Digital Solutions, a Pollard Banknote Company, is looking for a collaborative and self-motivated Technical Writer to join our Customer Experience team. Come join us and play a key role in educating customers about our various products and features.
The Role:
As a Technical Writer with Pollard Digital Solutions, you will be asked to:

Get to know our lottery solutions inside and out

Work closely with product managers, developers, and the Customer Experience team to develop and produce user documentation for our customers, technical documentation for our internal use, and continuously improve the overall documentation experience

Assist the Business Development team in drafting technical text that forms the basis for responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) issued by our potential customers

Master the use of our information architecture, including our publishing platform (Paligo) and issue-tracking tool (Jira)
The Ideal Candidate:
-
Has a bachelor’s degree in English or another communications-related subject

Has 2+ years’ experience working as a writer, preferably as a technical writer documenting software products

Speaks and writes English to a high level, with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Is capable of comprehending technical information to a sufficient degree that they can write text focused on technical software-related concepts

Enjoys collaborating with teams and individuals to understand user needs and communicate our products’ technical capabilities
