Software Quality Assurance Specialist
Icelandair is looking to hire a Software Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist who is passionate about delivering high-quality software and user experience. We are seeking a person who is eager to iterate and automate QA processes while also patient enough to test things thoroughly, cooperating closely with developers and users alike.

Our QA specialists are a part of the Icelandair Digital Business Development unit where customer focused and high-quality software engineering is the name of the game. They are responsible for the accurate testing and evaluation of our software solutions against design specifications and user requirements to ensure the highest quality. Our methods are collaborative, our group is inclusive, and our minds are exploratory. We encourage skill building, knowledge sharing, and professional growth.
Test software to assure quality of new and existing functionality on various applications and platforms.
Test and verify appearance, functionality and performance.
Identify, document, and review defects with development teams.
Design, implement, and maintain a suite of automated tests using modern tools and techniques.
Review and interpret software requirements into traceable test plans and test cases.
Certify the quality and approve product releases against established users and defined acceptance criteria.
Make recommendations and implement QA process improvements and enhancements, assist in determining test methodology and test data setup.
Work closely with developers and designers to drive rapid resolution of identified issues.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or comparable education.
Software testing experience.
Automation and/or development experience is preferable.
Ability to understand different user personas, their needs, behavior and requirements.
Familiarity and interest in current browser and mobile technology.
Passion for troubleshooting and problem solving.
Experience in Agile methodologies and continuous delivery.
