Senior Python Developer

Travelshift is looking for a Senior Python Developer with a robust mathematical foundation to join the dynamic AI team that consists of 8 great pioneers and take part in our mission to help people explore the world and continue developing world class service and innovative technology. As our new Python maestro you will be in close collaboration with other teams and stakeholders with the goal to understand end-user requirements to provide technical solutions and for the implementation of new software features to our products on Guide to Europe that is a travel platform offering complete vacations in one booking.

Our team member would also be responsible for:
– Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code.
– Designing and implementing low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications.
– Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability and automation

What our new team member must have is…
– Solid and demonstrable Python experience in an enterprise setting.
– Strong mathematical foundation.
– Experience with GCP or other cloud providers.
– Experience working with NoSQL (MongoDB) and SQL (PostgreSQL) databases.
– Good collaboration skills.
– At least basic experience working with UNIX environments.

It would be super if you some following skills or all if you are a superhuman:
– Experience working on multi-objective optimization problems
– Experience working on data science related projects
– Experience working with APIs (and creating their own).
– Experience working in a fast-paced, iterative software development environment.
– Experience working within an agile framework (e.g., Scrum).
– Cybersecurity awareness.
