Senior Product Manager – Payments

We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Senior Product Manager – Payments to lead critical initiatives across our payments ecosystem. You’ll be responsible for building and managing global payment solutions that improve conversion, enable international growth, and ensure reliable payouts and settlements between our global partners. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, finance and third-party providers to shape the future of how money moves through our platforms.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and drive Dohop’s overall payment strategy and roadmap, both for travellers’ payment experience on our platforms and our B2B payment experience.
  • Lead the discovery and development of global payment solutions, including support for new markets, currencies, and payment methods (e.g., digital wallets, BNPL, bank transfers), ensuring these deliver for the traveller, partners, and Dohop.
  • Partner with finance, operations, and legal teams to ensure compliance with global regulations (PCI-DSS, PSD2, SCA) and internal controls.
  • Deeply understand user needs across travellers and suppliers; use data, research, and testing to drive product decisions that reduce friction and boost trust.
  • Own the end-to-end payments user experience on our products across checkout, payment methods, fraud mitigation, chargebacks, refunds, and payouts.
  • Analyse payment performance metrics—such as conversion rates, approval rates, payment cost, and refund times—and drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage relationships with PSPs, acquiring banks, fraud tools, and payout providers; evaluate new vendors and negotiate commercial and technical terms, ensuring these best deliver for Dohop, the traveller and our partners.
  • Look to the future, ensuring our payment strategy is forward-looking and we are one step ahead.
  • Optimise how we organise payment provision with partners and develop best practice approaches to MOR/non-MOR
  • Serve as a senior product voice within the organisation; contribute to strategy, product planning, target setting, and roadmap alignment across teams.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on payments, fintech, or marketplace platforms.
  • Proven experience launching and scaling payment products across multiple countries or regions.
  • Strong understanding of the global payments landscape, including card networks, local payment methods, compliance frameworks and settlement systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects from concept to launch at a high-growth startup or fast-moving tech company.
  • Data-driven and metrics-oriented, with hands-on experience using data and reporting tools like SQL, Mixpanel and Looker Studio.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills—you can navigate ambiguity and drive clarity across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • While being a strong strategic thinker have a bias towards actions and delivery
  • Clear communication and the ability to align technical and non-technical teams.
  • Detail-oriented, takes initiative, and enjoys improving complex systems.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with B2B or B2B2C payout models.
  • Background in travel, hospitality, or platform businesses with high transaction volume.
  • Familiarity with fraud/risk platforms, treasury systems, or financial operations.
