Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Engineer with extensive experience on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or other cloud platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure that supports our clients’ software applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Terraform, some knowledge of AWS and experience using Python.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure on GCP
• Implement best practices for CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and other tools
• Automate Infrastructure as Code processes using Terraform and other automation tools
• Monitor infrastructure performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Collaborate with development teams to optoptimiseplication performance and availability
• Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure and deployment processes
• Be proactive – identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and the reliability of infrastructure
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and DevOps best practices
• Interest in AI and a passion for finding creative solutions to evolving industry challenges

Knowledge & experience:

• Extensive experience in deploying infrastructure As Code using Terraform within GCP
• Experience with Python programming languages
• Extensive knowledge of provisioning services in GCP
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or other tools
• Knowledge of different database technologies, for example, Postgres
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with modern AI-assisted development tools
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
