Senior Data Engineer – Automation

Cyren is looking for an experienced senior data engineer to join the anti-malware automation team in Iceland. The team handles development and maintenance of anti-malware products and automation. We have vast amount of data, both structured and un-structured that we are accumulating every second of every day.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Build and maintain automation systems for classifying malware efficiently to improve speed, scalability and quality.

  • Create efficient data pipelines for storing, organizing and mining enormous quantities of data.

  • Take ownership of critical systems taking into account all aspect including design, development, quality, and deployability.

  • Collaborate with other members of the team both to learn from and support

Menntunar- og hæfniskröfur

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

  • At least 5 years software engineering experience.

  • Linux development background

  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies

  • Machine Learning experience is a plus.

  • Experience working with malware and anti-malware technologies is plus

Languages/Scripting: Python, Bash, C/C++, Go, Perl, x86 assembly, PHP

Tools/Frameworks: GIT, GNU, Yara, YaraML, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Elastic, MySQL & Redis

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

  • Experience working with International Teams.
