JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for enthusiastic and capable people to work across a range of areas in a fast paced and close-knit team located in Reykjavík, Iceland. Syndis’ engineering team consists of individuals with a wide range of backgrounds who perform application assessments, penetration tests and attack simulations on systems and organizations around the world as well as developing new service offerings. This means that day-to-day our engineers are reviewing applications, attacking and surveying networks, and performing full-scale attacks on the organizations of our clients in an effort to raise their level of security and monitoring clients security.

ABOUT YOU:

You are eligible to live and work in Iceland
You are capable of writing and speaking English on a professional level
Speaking Icelandic is a plus but by no means a requirement
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or demonstrable experience in the areas we are looking for
You have an uncontainable enthusiasm for ‘hacking all of the things’
You are excited about the idea of working on different things each day and of jumping in to help teammates solve problems spanning a range of disciplines
You relish the idea of using security first principles to work out what needs to be done even if you’ve never worked on a particular type of problem before
You want to help our clients stay ahead of the curve when it comes to their security
You like the idea of making the world a safer place

EXPERIENCE:

Syndis is looking for people with experience in any of the following fields and technologies. None of these are requirements but are definitely a plus.
Web application development.
Hyperscaler environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
DevOps technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
Windows domain administration (Active Directory, Exchange, Office365, etc.)
General programming experience.
Any language is fine but C#, NodeJS, React Native and mobile native languages are a big plus.
General networking knowledge.
Experience with opsec/infosec is definitely a plus.
