We are a Swedish/Danish project group working on a project called ‘The Yeti Sound Machine’ – an artwork and an electronic sound composing system for kids aged 3-7 developed for the iPad. The artwork is created by Raquel Meyers (www.raquelmeyers.com) and the sounds by goto80 (www.goto80.com). The aim is to create a magical universe where kids can explore and learn through art and electronic music.

As it may be evident through the introductory video, you can see it here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/tpins82dy1gw9wy/ysm_promo.mov, we are inspired by several old kids TV shows for instance Professor Balthazar, Skrumpen, la bola de cristal, el planeta imaginario, Kure Kure Takora (please fill in I think 5-6 should be enough). New TV shows: Wonder Showzen. These TV shows represent a certain approach to kids, where the aim is to open up their minds to all the wonderful quirkiness of the world, expand their visual and acoustic languages and spark their own desire to create and explore.

‘The Yeti Sound Machine’ consists of two characters, that are present both in the iPad application but also online on videos and traditional, offline books.

We want to both apply for crowdfunding and Nordic production funding, however we’d like to include another nordic partner. Preferably a programmer. If you’re interested drop us a line and we’ll add you in the budget and of course project.
