Principal Engineer

We are building Azure NetApp Files and Google Cloud NetApp Volumes in collaboration with our partners at Microsoft and Google. ANF is one of the fastest growing services in Azure and you will join an international team working on scaling, improving and building out these services.

Job requirements

• Work on scaling our solutions and accelerating delivery of customer value in co-operation with our partners and internal development teams.
• Work with other principal engineers on designing our solutions as well as discovering ways to use new technologies to help the team reach set goals.
• Understand and provide guidance on our solutions, end-to-end.
• You will play a key role in helping the team deliver substantial value to our customers.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• BSc degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 12+ years’ experience in software development
• Great communication skills in English (both verbal and written)
• Strong aptitude for learning new technologies

Preferred qualities

• Systematic problem-solving approach and sense of ownership and drive
• Experience in Golang, C# or an equivalent language
• Experience with the full lifecycle of a system, from requirements to production
• Experience in scaling systems, preferably with cloud native technologies, ie Kubernetes
• Readiness to share your expertise and knowledge
