Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Python, with a focus on mathematical modeling, simulations, and scenario building.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their requirements and develop solutions that leverage mathematical modeling techniques to address complex challenges in the shipping industry, particularly in the container segment.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify technical challenges and develop innovative solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to best practices, and continuously improve the development process, with a focus on mathematical modeling methodologies.

Requirements:

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Strong experience in Python development (preferred), with a focus on mathematical and statistical modeling, simulations, and scenario building.
• Familiarity with web development frameworks such as Flask and Django for realising data in a user-interface is a plus.
• Growth mindset with a keen eye for detail and organizational skills
• Interest in deep diving into the the shipping industry and a passion for driving sustainability and decarbonization efforts within the industry.
