1939 Games is looking for a talented and driven Graphic Designer who wants to be part of an exceptional growing team, working on an exciting game project in an inspiring and collaborative environment.

We are looking for a self-motivated, experienced Graphic Designer with a deep passion for games, capable of defining and developing a cohesive and intuitive designs for our WWII themed collectible card game Kards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design game UI, various 2D assets, in game icons and other graphic elements of Kards.

• Optimize, import and maintain design assets in Unreal Engine.

• Design UI layouts in Unreal Engine UMG UI Designer, optimized for performance and usability on various platforms.

• Work on various design tasks with the development and marketing teams, including social media advertising assets, website material etc.

• Continually iterate upon designs based on user feedback, research, tech constraints and business decisions.

Required Background and Experience:

• Practical experience or education as a Graphic Designer, UI designer, technical artist, or similar role.

• Serious passion and knowledge of user-centered design.

• Experience creating and optimizing assets for digital use.

• Experience of Adobe Creative Cloud applications, such as Photoshop and Illustrator.

• Strong communication skills to solve problems as well as keeping the team up to date with progress and any issues that may arise throughout production.

Additional desired skills:

• Experience of using Unreal Engine UMG UI designer.

• Knowledge of digital collectible card games and/or F2P games.

• Experience in web design is preferred.

• Ability to design functional graphical assets like icons and logos.

The game draws familiar elements from the card game genre and fuses them with classic WWII gaming for an elegant, action packed and fun card game. 1939 Games was founded around the KARDS project in 2015 by former CCP veterans.
