Developer
We are seeking a skilled C# Developer to join our dynamic team at Blue Lagoon Iceland. As a Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining robust server-side applications. Your work will directly impact our system’s performance, scalability, and security.
Responsibilities
Developing C# .NET Solutions:
Create efficient and reliable back-end solutions using the .NET Core framework
Design and implement APIs to facilitate communication between front-end and back-end components
Use Azure, DevOps, and Repo for in-house development strategies
In-House Application Development:
Build and maintain in-house applications that enhance our business processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of back-end services
Debugging and Maintenance:
Identify and resolve issues in the existing codebase
Optimize performance and troubleshoot any backend-related problems
Security and Risk Management:
Implement security protocols to safeguard data and prevent vulnerabilities
Handle technical risks and address potential security threats
Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with other developers in a project team
Provide technical support to stakeholders within the organization
What makes you the right fit?
A bachelor’s degree in computer programming, computer science, or information technology, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a C# developer
Proficiency in C# and the .NET Core framework, a certification in .NET is a plus
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and easy-to-understand code, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Icelandic are mandatory
Ability to participate in project meetings and collaborate effectively
Self-motivated, able to work independently
Familiarity with agile development practices
The individual will be based in the new office building of Blue Lagoon in Urriðaholt, Garðabær.
