Data Scientist

We are seeking a Data Scientist to help us make smarter decisions about sales, pricing, and content offerings. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modelling to uncover valuable insights in our data. Your work will directly impact our business decisions, enhance system performance, and drive innovation.

While Reykjavik and Edinburgh are our preferred locations, we’re open to candidates from elsewhere.

Responsibilities:

• Build and optimise ML models to analyse sales trends, improve content offerings and optimise pricing processes. Evaluate model performance and iterate to improve accuracy and business impact.
• Explore new AI approaches by evaluating emerging ML and AI techniques and identifying opportunities to apply them to business challenges.
• Partner with data engineers and analysts to build data pipelines and deploy models into production, ensuring they run reliably at scale. Analyse data to uncover growth opportunities and surface insights.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers and engineers to integrate solutions into our existing pipelines and services.

Skills:

• Education: Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field like mathematics and statistics.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in the field, including deployment and monitoring ML models.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, experience with ML, AI frameworks and platforms.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for tackling challenging and ambiguous problems.
