Cloud Ops Engineer

Controlant is seeking a an experienced Cloud Operations Engineer to play a key role in the development and operation of our cloud-based infrastructure on AWS.

Responsibilities

• Develop, automate and manage a secure, reliable and scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS
• Design and implement solutions for scalability, recovery, monitoring, security, and performance
• Collaborate on a vision and technical roadmap for cloud platforms
• Implement operational metrics and monitor the health of systems
• Maintain documentation and guidelines for system operations
• Respond to operational issues, participate in on-call rotation queue
• Establish and evangelize technologies, processes and best practices with development teams

Requirements

• 3+ year work experience in ops role, preferably in AWS environments
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code development and configuration management
• Experience with Terraform and/or Ansible
• Strong Linux and scripting skills
• Experience operating MySQL, Consul, Redis, Kafka and RabbitMQ is an advantage
• Experience of working in a regulated environment a plus
• Excellent collaborative skills and an ability to focus on solutions instead of problems
