🧠 Content Manager

At Rocky Road, we are redefining social gaming with our hyper-local gaming network. Our team consists of industry veterans in mobile games, with extensive experience in scaling up gaming platforms with over 100 million users. We are a team of 13 people across three different countries, with our main office at Guðrúnartún 8 in Reykjavík.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Content Manager to join our LiveOps team, responsible for both developing and curating engaging content for our gaming platform. This role is a blend of project management, creative writing, brainstorming, photo editing, and content management. The ideal candidate will oversee the content lifecycle from concept through to publication, ensuring our platform remains vibrant, engaging, and aligned with the latest trends. Additionally, this role is crucial in shaping the platform’s tone of voice, ensuring it resonates with our diverse and global audience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and curate compelling content for the gaming platform, ensuring it meets our quality and brand standards.

• Source and manage contractors to produce a variety of content.

• Manage and maintain the gaming catalog, ensuring its accuracy and relevance.

• Perform simple photo editing to ensure the gaming catalog is visually appealing and maintains a high-quality standard.

• Collaborate with the LiveOps team to plan and execute live operations, including special events and content updates.

• Write captivating copy for various platform content, while shaping and maintaining the platform’s distinct tone of voice.

• Stay up to date with trends to ensure content remains fresh, relevant, and engaging.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align content and catalog initiatives with broader company goals.

• Understand user behaviour and trends to improve content strategies.

• Assist in various projects as they arise, showcasing flexibility and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

• Fluent English skills are a must.

• Experience in content creation, project management, and/or photo editing, preferably in the gaming or tech industry.

• Strong copywriting skills with the ability to produce engaging and error-free content, and adept at shaping and maintaining a unique tone of voice.

• High level of creativity and the ability to generate ideas that attract and retain users.

• Experience in photo editing with the ability to perform basic image adjustments is a plus
