Front End Developer (CSS/HTML)

YOUR TASKS
As part of our development team you will lead the development of our CSS and HTML style guides in cooperation with our design department. You will be part of a software team using Agile methodologies where shared responsibility, cooperation and team spirit are highly valued.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about scalable CSS maintained by multiple teams and is willing to educate others on how to create maintainable CSS.

Your main responsibilities will be to participate in new product development where maintainability and quality is of high importance. Main duties include, but are not limited to:

• Lead the creation and maintenance of NLS’s CSS and HTML style guides used by our Game Web, Back office and Retail applications
• Analyze, design, program, document, test and install NLS´s Solutions
• Participate in design and architecture discussions
• Create and maintain unit tests and other related automated tests
• Take part in code reviews
• Participate in professional knowledge sharing with peers
• Contribute to NLS´s work processes to ensure quality and efficiency
• Assist in project estimation and release planning

YOUR PROFILE
We are looking for an experienced front end developer with extensive experience working with CSS preferably in large scale projects.

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent is preferred
• Experience breaking designs down into reusable HTML and CSS components

• Experience working with tools and concepts such as:
  SASS, CSS Modules, BEM, OOCSS, npm, Grunt, Gulp or other automated task runners, Git version control system, Photoshop and other Adobe tools

• Strong hands-on knowledge of browser-side technology such as HTML, CSS, HTTP, cookies, caching and security.

• Linux/Unix fundamentals and comfort working from the command line when needed
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• English language skills

Some nice to haves includes:
– Automated development environment setup like Vagrant, Docker etc.
– Active open source user and community member
